2021 Christmas camp

  • I'll be attending camp to aerotow gliders ( no glider flying)

  • Base / Meet: Wangaratta aero club, 80-82 Brian Higgins Dr, Laceby VIC 3678
  • Pilot experience:  non solo pilots - dual flying, solo pilots - local soaring, dual flying &  coaching
  • Event type: cross country flying & local soaring for new solo pilots.
  • Environment: Flatland and mountain soaring

  • Camp dates: 26.12.21 - 9.1.21
  • Meet time: 08:30AM to prepare aircraft.
  • Briefing time: 10:00 AM 
  • Launch time: 11:00 AM (can be organised earlier with tow pilot)

  • Event cost: $75 - $100 (cover tug ferry & club airfield fees)
  • Maximum  aircraft limit: nil

  • Social activities: Members meet daily for evening meals after flying.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Covid-19 Guidelines:

  • Please don’t come to the Airfield or go on a camp if you have any symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) however mild, or you have had contact with someone who has symptoms.
  • Don’t share cars unless you are in the same household
  • Bring your own supplies such as hand sanitiser and sunscreen.
  • Bring a face mask to wear before launching and after. You must carry a face mask on you
  • Sanitise before and after helping someone with their glider.
  • Maintain physical distancing, keep at least 1.5 metres away from others.
  • Greet people with a smile or wave - don’t shake hands, hug or kiss as a greeting.
  • Avoid sharing sporting equipment and don’t share equipment that touches the face or head.
  • Ensure you carry a face mask while flying, in case you outland.
