Duo Discus
The Schemp-Hirth Duo Discus is the most capable cross-country glider in the club, and the only one fitted with an engine.
While this doesn't mean that it can take off by itself, it does mean that the aircraft can make its way back to the airfield, regardless of the weather conditions.
Incredible flights have been completed in the club's Duo Discus, with many spanning hundreds of kilometres.
