Melbourne Gliding Club has one of Australia's best fleet of aircraft, with three DG training gliders available for instruction and a modern fleet of 6 gliders in total (plus two tug aircraft).

Associate (non-flying) - $50.00 (AUD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments - You may fly in club twin-seat gliders at members' rates.
- You are unable to receive flying instruction, act as 'pilot in command', or take control of the aircraft.

Short-term Member (3 months) - Flying Member - $90.00 (AUD) Subscription period: Unlimited - Membership is valid for 3 months, may only be purchased once - then member must purchase a full-year membership at the appropriate level

Reciprocal Member (non flying) - Free Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments Members of other gliding clubs may:
- launch their own aircraft, and fly Club two-seat aircraft with a Club instructor at
members’ rates, without paying membership dues, for up to 3 visits, totalling 14 days
each financial year.
- fly Club tow planes, with the approval of the Club’s Tug Master.

Reciprocal members must hold GFA membership. If required, short-term GFA 30-day membership
can be purchased the day you fly.

To fly as pilot in command of any Club aircraft and, a pilot must be either a Short-Term or Full Flying Member of the Club.

Day Member - Free Subscription period: Monthly No automatically recurring payments - Day membership is available for AEF participants, and friends of full members who wish to fly.
- Membership is only valid for the day you fly.

GFA Family - Flying - $50.00 (AUD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments - For use in combination with the GFA Family Flying Membership, for which you must also be a club member.
- Direct family members of a full member only.
- Can receive instruction, but no 'pilot in command' privileges.

GFA Family Member (non-flying) - Free Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments - Available to all family members of a full flying MGC member.
- Unable to receive flying instruction, or touch the controls, but can fly as a passenger.
- Join the GFA as a free family member as well.
NOTE: day member for family members, aligns with new GFA category (saves family members filling in day member form every time they wish to fly).

Short-term membership for joint operations - Free Subscription period: Unlimited This is a special membership only for Bacchus Marsh Gliding members for joint operations purposes. Membership is valid for the metropolitan Melbourne lockdown period.
